I am connecting a PC6248 stack to a N3048 switch. On the N series documentation and help it seems to indicate that a port in trunk mode will tag untagged traffic with the PVID, whereas on the Power Connect documentation / help it states that trunk switchport mode does not pass untagged traffic.
My question, when connecting these two switches should I use Trunk or General.
On both switches, I have the same VLANS (1, 10, 200) 1 - management, 10 - desktops/lan, 200 voice.
So is Trunk with allowed vlan 10, 200 my best bet?
I currently have the switches connected via a single port on each switch in switchport mode access pvid 10 and this works fine at the moment, because voice traffic is currently confined to the PC6248 stack. I had tried a lag in Switchport mode General pvid 10 set up on both switches, but for some reason I did not get traffic between the switches, so I temporarily went back to a single port in Access mode.
