Hi,
we've got 2 POWERCONNECT 8164 in stack with a firmware version "6.1.2.4"
Ports are configured like so:
spanning-tree portfast
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,4-5,7-1000,1024
Those ports are connected to many esxi 5.1 servers, the trunks manage internet and iscsi traffic.
When a physical port goes down and up again (example server reboot) some VLANS stop working.
We found that copying the vlan allowed configuration from its running-config "switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,4-5,7-1000,1024" and pasting it again in the interface all the VLANS start working again.
When we call a "show running-config" the output is always corrected, but it seems to be different from the real running configuration.
We found this issue on more ports for both the switches.
It could be a firmware issue or an hardware one? Could the last firmware solve the problem?
Thank you,
Andrea
