Hello All,
I am new to networking, so some parts of this question may be naive or stupid. My apologies in advance.
I am trying to connect my Dell 8024F 10G switch to a Cisco 7000 Nexus switch over fibre. I cannot seem to get any link working. The port led on the Dell was on and was recogonised on the Dell, but enabling the corresponding port on the Cisco disables the port on the Dell in that the led is off and the status says "link down".
Here are the specs:
The SFP+ tranceiver on the Dell end is JD093B-CDW
The fibre is Triplite (dupllex multimode 62.5/125 fibre patch cable)
Finally on the cisco end, the tranceiver is a Cisco X2-10GB-LRM
I created a new vlan, and assigned an ip to that VLAN. However the link is shown inactive (it was active briefly for a moment) and I cannot ping that IP .
I would be thankful for any help.
