Adding a second Sonicwall on the same subnet -
SW1 - Existing NSA3600 LAN: 192.168.44.254
SW2 - New TZ400 LAN: 192.168.44.253
Seperate WAN connections:
SW1 -- Comcast
SW2 -- ATT
After changing the default gateway on a PC to 44.253 traffic takes the appropriate path through the new Sonicwall (SW2) and through the ATT circuit. However, after maybe 5 mins it routes back through SW1 and through the Comcast circuit (performing a tracert). Double checked the default gateway on the PC, it is static'd and nothing has changed. Route print still shows default gateway = 44.253.
So I was able to connect an unmanaged switch with both firewalls plugged in and two PC's, one set for 44.254 and the other 44.253. Everything is routing as I would expect it to. Logged into one of the PowerConnect switches and could not find any routing protocols they could be causing this. The Sonicwall that I installed has RIP and OSPF disabled. The existing Sonicwall is managed by a third party and they tell me that routing is disabled as well.
Any thoughts!
