Add second switch with internal ports shutdown?

Hi,
I have a Dell M1000e chassis with some servers and a M8024k switch in slot A1.

Now i would like to install another M8024k in slot A2 but i would like to assure myself that the internal ports are shutdown.

Is that possible and how do i make the ports start in shutdown when inserted?

B and C slots are allready occupied .
