Hi,
We have just began replacing our old switch gear with Dell N-series switchs (N2000 and N4000).
We have been observing annoying issues with GVRP. The VLANs are defined on the core switches of a building and the wiring closet switches should get the VLAN information via GVRP. This works usually but at random intervals the wiring closet switches don't know about the VLANS advertised by GVRP; only the ones defined by vlan makestatic command. The interval between these issues varies from 5 seconds to 500 seconds based on my observations. The same issue can be observed in all the three buildings currently equipped with Dell switches and on every switch using GVRP. We have tried changing the GARP timers but without success. All the switches run software version 6.2.7.2. What could I do to find out the cause of this issue or to find a workaround?
Best regards,
Matti
