We have a mainly Dell network. We have a problem using imaging with a SCCM (WDS) server and Dell N2000, N1500 and PC5400 switches. The PXE boot fails to receive a DHCP address, though a client works on the one HP2920 switch we have. Details:
DHCP working for VLANs on all switches
DHCP not working on PKE boot for Dell N2048, N1548 and PC5448 switches
DHCP server and WDS server are on different VLANs
PKE boot works only on same VLAN as WDS server
DCHP options 66 and 67 are configured in DHCP scope
IP helpers for all vlans are on router; both DHCP servers and WDS IPs entered
Portfast is on all client ports
Wireshark shows no DHCP discover coming from computer doing PKE boot
As this is a college campus, we re-image every school computer during the summer and rely on PXE to work.
