We have two buildings. The building are about 400ft apart, and we are not allowed to dig to connect them. Thus, we have a paid private fiber LAN connection from an ISP, but only 10mb. We can upgrade the speed, but the cost is tough. This is a Metro-E, essentially just a long/private ethernet cable. Both buildings are on the same LAN.
I suggested getting some Ubiquiti NanoBeams to provide a faster/2nd connection. Ideally, I'd like to aggregate these two connections.
I understand that the LAG connections (Metro-E 10mb and NanoBeams variable on signal) need to be the same speed for the LAG.
Has anybody tried using a LAG that is different speeds? Or is there an alternative that I should research?
