Hi all,
I am having an issue with failover in my Dell N3048 stack.
This is what is currently happening:
- 2 In a stack
- Management Role sits with unit 2, unplug the power from unit 2, whilst starting an open ping to the gateway and an external ip. Don't lose packets in either ping
- Plug the switch back in, remains unassigned for a while then eventually comes back as a stack member. At this point pings to the gateway and external IP completely drop. Internal routing is still working as i can ping SVI's and SSH onto the switch
- OSPF seems to have stopped for some reason and doesn't remain active, show ip ospf "OSPF is not initialized. Please check if routing is enabled."
- The only way to get it back is to no ip routing / ip routing or reboot the switches.
Any idea why this is, I was hoping for a much more seamless fail-over and fail back. This is definitely not ideal!
Happy to provide any details that are required.
Cheers
