My scenario is simple. I need to create two VLANs A, B. Ports 1-20 need to be able to access both VLANs A and B. The rest of the ports 21-48 only VLAN A. The purpose of the setup is to isolate a specific server to computers connected to ports 1-20 while using ACL via MAC Addresses on top of the VLAN segmentation for extra network security. However, all systems connected to the switch not only the ones in ports 1-20 need to access other resources in network A (printers, servers, router(internet) etc).
I have only one PowerConnect 5548. Can this scenario be done in that specific switch? If so how step by step please? Or do you recommend another switch to use? Thank you in advance.
