we have 8 servers running hyper v connecting to a equallogic ps 6100 series san. We purchased two power connect 6224 switches and we are currently using one of them successfully as we have two nics from each physical server going to each switch and the san connected to both as well. we must be missing something because when we create the LAG with 4 ports, connect the switches together and connect the second switch to the san, our traffic speeds fall, meaning that we get ping responses over 10ms where with one switch we get the normal less than one ms response time. I really need to put the second switch into production to add redundancy to the network, but I cant figure out what I am missing and why adding the second switch reduces network performance. I would appreciate any help you can give as to how we should setup two 6224 switches between servers with multiple nics and the equallogic ps 6100 san.
thanks
