Greetings,
My company has a number of 2700 series power connect switches which have been End Of Lifed as far as server room use is concerned. However I would like to try and experiment with the idea of turning them into (sort of) managed switches to help managed phone and network cables on our support floor.
The biggest obstacle thus far is figuring out how to route traffic because our departments are seperated by Vlans, however setting up vlans for the various ports apparently causes the signal to be "double-layered" with vlan data and rejected on our network. Is there a way to route a number of switch ports to feed into just one? I.e. take ports 1-24 and have them route their traffic in and out of port 45 ?
