I have a new PowerConnect 5524P and PowerConnect 5524 that I am trying to stack with the Dell 0.3m HDMI cable. They are both at SW Version 4.1.0.16 and Boot version 1.0.0.14.
I am trying to make the 5524P the master and then add the 5524 to the stack. When I add the 5524 to the stack, it shuts down the 5524P and takes over as the master. The 5524P ends up with all its LED lights lite (ports all green, status red, and ID set to 8.
I have tried making the 5524 the master and then stacking the 5524P, but no go.
In addition, the only way I have found to get back to the wizard in the serial interface, is to enter the command "delete startup-config" and then reloading. I have tried hitting the delete key when the Dell logo shows up in the serial interface, tried the web interface to reset the device, and held the hardware reset button in for 7 seconds. None of those seem to do anything.
Any help is appreciated.
