Question about adding the PowerConnect 6200-XGBT 10GbE modules

I have a pair of PowerConnect 6248 switches that are stacked (via stacking modules in Bay 1, respectively), and acting as my L3 core. I have purchased another PowerConnect 6248 to act as an L2 edge Switch, and instead of LAG’ing them to the core, I purchased two of the PowerConnect 6200-XGBT 10GbE copper modules for Bay 2 in the new edge switch, and Bay 2 for the core. My questions are around how disruptive incorporating this new 10GbE module might be, and how best to get it recognized and configured. I’ve been used to adding stacking modules without disruption, but wasn’t sure about this 10GbE module. I’ve also looked for resources on how to get the 10GbE module recognized so that I can then configure it for the type of connection that it needs to be. (e.g. Trunk/General/Access). Unfortunately there isn’t a lot out there, or my search skills are letting me down.

Any insight would be appreciated.
