OOB Management Unreachable - Dell M6220

Hi,

I have a Dell M1000e blade chassis containing 2x M6220 switches (Fabric A 1 & 2).  Recently I thought I'd upgrade the firmware as they were both on a very old version.  Following the instructions bundled with the firmware file I upgraded the switch in fabric A2 to version 5.1.6.3.  The upgrade worked and the switch came up and is functional, however I cannot access the OOB interface.

As an aside the other switch (A1) is running without issue, albeit with an earlier firmware version (3.1.2.8).

I cannot ping the address that I have set for the switch from either my workstation, or the CMC itself.  The switch cannot ping out, but can ping its own address - confirming that there is actually one set.

As the unit is not in production yet, I cleared the config of the switch and started fresh.  Still no luck.  I decided that maybe this was a problem with the latest firmware, and loaded up an older version (4.2.0.4).  Again, I cleared the configuration just in case but I end up with the same problem.  I am beginning to wonder if something has changed config wise with the CMC rather than the switch, but I cannot see anything out of the ordinary.  I have checked the CMC VLAN settings for the IOMs, again with no obvious faults.

At the risk that I'm slowly going insane, I reach out to my fellow M1000e owners for any suggestions.  Has anyone seen this sort of issue before?

Can supply configuration data if required, but as I said the switches are running with a cleared config and only the OOB IP set.

Thanks all in advance.

Chris.
