SPF+ and SPF compatibility Dell to HP

Hi,

I am trying to connect a Dell N048 to a HP Procurve via Fiber but the link is not is not coming up. The dell is a SPF+ port and the HP is SPF port which I would imagine should be compatible. Can anyone give us any tips to get this working.

Both the wave lengths are 850 nm
