live removal of stack module

Hi,

We have 2 PowerConnect 6248 which are stacked. We need our stack module for our new setup but we can't shutdown this production environnement yet.

It is possible to remove stack module of our switch without affecting it's config? Does the switch will work without any problem and it will act simply as if we remove the backbone cable?
