We have just bought two Force10 S4810P network switches and we want to install them on two adjacent racks. They will be used to interconnect compute and NAS storage installed across both racks so mainly serving local connections.
We are planning to use the QSFP+ ports to connect both switches and I have two questions.
1. Hardware configuration: what are the best transceivers and cables to use in this case?
2. Software configuration: should we use stacking or virtual link trunking? the information I have been reading so far does not give me a definite answer.
