Greetings,
I am in the configuration process of the VRTX. The onboard R1-2401 has been given an OOB ip address of 10.10.10.8 with a default gw of 10.10.10.1. The VRTX switch is uplinked to a Cisco 3850 switch where intervlan routing occurs. Only two VLANs exist on the Cisco switch (vlan 1, and 10). Only the default vlan 1 is configured on the R1-2401. Vlan 1 is being used for all hosts, and 10 is used between the ASA and 3850.
So, when I configure the R1-2401 with 10.10.10.8 and plug a laptop either on the Cisco switch or directly on the R1-2401, I am unable to access GUI side of the switch. I've been able to connect via SSH on the CMC for configuration but trying to figure out what I cant connect via the OOB.
If i ping 10.10.10.8 from any device, I get a timeout. Yet, other devices on that switch such as the blades or the laptop are able to ping other devices on the R1-2401 and Cisco devices.
I've read that the OOB cant be on the same subnet as the devices but Ive setup a few of these before and never run across this issue, Any ideas?
