I have two DELL 3548P's that are not stacked but connected over g3 and g4, I have a single port (porte45) that is connected to a server that is using CallRex software to record phone calls off certain numbers.
I have port e45 set to monitor ports below and I have NO spanning-tree on port e45
e47, e48, g3, g4. .
Ports e47 and e48 are a port-channel, to an up link distribution layer switch (gateway)
The only difference is recently we upgraded our network to a redundant one EXCEPT these switch, it used to be a single up link from an access port on e26.to a stacked pair, Since we put in a pair of switches I created a port-channel and am now forwarding traffic across a trunk to a pair of switches using VRRP. I configured e45 exactly how the old monitoring port was configured.
I need to get this working again But I am not to familiar with it and these are just network switches passing Traffic through a VOIP Server and also a Call recording server monitoring 5 extensions, everything works except the call recording, the NIC configured on the Server for QOS sees nothing
Can anyone give me a shove in the right direction
