Configuring RSPAN span/mirror port to see all vlan traffic in Dell N3048P switches

Hi everyone,

I am working on installing a trial Websense/Forcepoint installed in Hyper-V Windows 2012R R2. I am not able to get the server to see other VLAN LAN segment traffic. At this point I have configured the 'source' and 'destination' ports on one of the switch. The two NICs on the server are connected to this switch.

I Googled and that I would need to setup RSPAN to see all VLAN traffic and I was wondering if I need to do that for all the switches;  we have couple of the N3048P switches.  Can someone here shed some light or confirm if I wanted to see traffic from other vlans and network segments this would be the solution.

I have about 10 LAN segments and vlan associated with these vlans.

Setup:

'Source' Nic1 - blocking/filtering  - port 25

'Destination' Nic2 - Monitoring - port 27

Thanks.

Hueb
