Dell 55xx will not connect via SPF+ ports.

I am trying to connect a Dell 5524 with a Dell 5548 over a 350 foot fiber connection.  I am using a pair Dell Networking, Transceiver, 10GbE SFP+ LRM Optic, 1310nm Wavelength, 220m reach on MMF - Kit's and the Fiber run has been certified. Yes, both ports show that they are down in OpenManage.  I have attempted some command lines I found searching online:

interface te1/0/1

channel-group 1 mode on

switchport mode general

I did this on both switches, received no errors, but still the ports did not light.

What am I doing wrong?  More importantly, why is there ZERO documentation on this!?
