Is there an easy way to track the RSTP topology changes on the PowerConnect 6248?
I'm facing a very strange problem. My core switch is a Force10 4810 and its configured as low root ID priority. For all my network, this switch is the root ID.
Connected to this 4810, I have a stack with 4 Powerconnect 6248. There's an uplink between 6248 and 4810 with 2 interfaces, and a portchannel created.
All works fine, but when I run the command "show logging" on the 6248, I see a lot of messages refering to "Spanning Tree Topology Change."
If execute the command "show spanning-tree detail" I see the root ID is the correct one (4810), but this info called my attention:
Number of topology changes 433600 last change occurred 0d0h21m42s ago
Why is there so many Topology Changes, since there's no switch topology changes in the network? Is there any way to track this easy?
