Configure a n2024 in a DMZ and use HTTPS?

Hi

I just received a Dell n2024 switch.

I need to connect one port to another switch port jack that is connection to our DMZ so I can access an ESXi Server from my office

I also need to connect an ESXi Server to the n2024.

Questions

1.

If I create VLAN 100 for ports 6-10 for the ESXi Server connections and connect port 1 to the other switch, I assume they will not be able to communicate.

Would port 1 need to be a trunk as well as say port 6 in my VLAN 100?

Or

Can I create VLAN 100 and assign port 6 as a trunk port and connect port 6 to the other switch to access the DMZ?

2.

How do I set up HTTPS so that when I connect to Open Manage with FireFox, it is a secure connection?
