We have a stacked 6248 (two switches). I am trying to get to grips with the best way to set up VLANs. The switch has been basically in operation for quite a while but it's features were never used. All ports are in VLAN 1 (Default). I would like to create VLANs for different departments and have them route between each other and also provide DHCP address to clients in those VLANs.
So, as you can see, there are actually several questions to answer.
* What is the best way to configure the Managment VLAN?
* What is the best way to configure multiple VLANs that can route between each other on different subnets?
* How can I migrate all connected clients from the Default VLAN (1)
There are a few more things of which I'm uncertain, but maybe if I start with the above those questions will be addressed in any case.
