Problem with latest powerconnect m8024K firmware PCM8024kv5.1.11.1a22 : CPLD update broke my switch

Just a warning to others considering the latest firmware....

We did the FW update and that went fine.

But when we performed the CPLD update as stated in the PC 8024K upgrade PDF, but now switch hangs at boot time.

I've tried resetting to factory defaults, rolling back to prior release, etc.... hangs... but power cycle via the web interface still reboots it.... always stops as below:
